  • JW declares that Jamppi is the next big CS:GO player after watching his incredible performance against Na'Vi.

  • The Finnish player who is currently VAC banned is prohibited to participate in Valve sponsored tournaments.

  • His recent performances have been top-notch and maybe Valve might overturn their decision in the future.

One of the best players from the Fnatic lineup Jesper "JW" Wecksell who plays the role of a hybrid AWPer took to Twitter to commend the young Finnish player Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen, saying that “Jamppi is the next big thing, whether Valve allows it or not.”

He made the statement following the Finnish organization’s victory over Na’Vi in their opening match of DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Europe, where Jamppi held an impressive overall rating of 1.25 across the two maps leading his team from the front.

The VAC banned player might not be able to help ENCE in their journey to qualify for the Majors, as he is prohibited from playing in any Valve sponsored tournament, but the youngster is not missing out on giving his best in other tier-one events.

This is his second online tournament for the Finnish side and he has already impressed a lot of players with his bold and confident playstyle, he might not be anywhere close to ZywOo or s1mple at the moment but he has certainly shown the potential to be the next player and JW seems to have given his approval on the matter.

Jamppi had a fantastic run through the Elisa Invitational 2020 where he was the eighth-best player overall, with a rating of 1.13 across the five maps, helping ENCE in winning the tournament and qualify for BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown - Europe 2020.

Now off to a yet another great start at DreamHack Spring, the 18-year-old seems unstoppable on the AWP once he starts rolling. It is still not clear whether such performances will help in overturning Valve’s decision, but it is certainly a positive sign that the player has moved on and is actually a mighty talented individual.

It will be sad to see another talented player’s career be ruined like that of Braxton "swag" Pierce’s, while both the scenarios are different it will definitely hurt to see such a gifted player leave the game to play another title just because of a mistake that he made years ago during the early years of his adolescence.
