- Kjaerbye gives an update on his health situation, revealing the various ailments he currently faces.
- He had stepped down from North's active lineup last week on 8th May.
- Due to the significantly long period of his absence, North loans 18-year-old Kristou from AGF Esport.
The 22-year-old Danish rifler Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye revealed some serious news about his current health situation stating that over the last few months he has been facing multiple personal health-related problems like abdominal pains, breathing problems, and chest cramps.
The young rifler who currently plays for North had stepped down from the team’s active line-up last week, right after their match against Movistar Riders. Though it was public information that the player had taken a back seat due to an illness, the seriousness of the situation wasn’t known.
Kjaerbye giving an update on the situation said that “I have had problems playing the game I love on (the) highest level. I have come to a point, where I need to listen to my body, and give it time to recover fully.”
The player did not mention as to when he plans to come back reiterating that fact that he seriously needs to take a break. North seems to be in support of the player’s decision as they have already announced Kristoffer "Kristou" Aamand as his replacement for the time being.
Earlier North’s coach Jimmy “Jumpy” Berndtsson had stood in for Kjaerbye, but now with the player being absent from the scene for a significant amount of time, they have opted to loan an 18-year-old teenager from AGF Esport instead.
Good wishes poured in for the pro player from both his fans and peers alike, as the talented rifler does deserve a solid rest to recover. North has performed quite well in the ESL One: Road to Rio - Europe and will be facing GODSENT to see which team places 7th in overall rankings.
