The string of updates for CS:GO continued as the developers dropped another one yesterday, witnessing the removal of maps ‘Breach’ and ‘Studio’ from the ‘official matchmaking servers’, while two new maps ‘Anubis’ and ‘Chlorine’ were added to ‘official Casual, Deathmatch, and Scrimmage game modes.’
As predicted earlier, the two maps who were contenders in the ‘Mapcore CS:GO Exotic Places mapping Contest’ has been selected by Valve. While Anubis was the map which won the competition, Chlorine was the runners-up at the event.

The two new maps might be a breath of fresh air, but the update also brought a bit of sad news as the end of Operation Shattered Web was announced, with the developers stating that,
“Players who have an Operation Shattered Web coin in their inventory at this time will receive commemorative inscriptions on their coin with the number of completed operation missions and number of stars attained.”
Ever since the release of the Operation, CS:GO had been enjoying unprecedented month-on-month growth, crossing a peak of more than 1.1 million concurrent players. But with the Operation coming to an end, it will be a challenge for the first-person shooter to continue this growth.
To cheer up the userbase and keep the dice rolling the “Prisma 2 Case” was dropped, “featuring 17 community-designed weapon finishes, and the Horizon Knives in Chroma finishes as rare special items.”
The players who are eligible for both ‘The Master Chief Collection’ and ‘Half-Life: Alyx’ will receive the cross-promotional items even if VAC banned. Apart from these major changes, a few more minor fixes were also made, which can be read by clicking here.
