The coronavirus pandemic which has hit the United States pretty hard seems to have Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag in a bit of a worry, as he is quite sick and also shows symptoms similar to that of a person infected by the dangerous virus.
The owner of 100 Thieves took to Twitter today morning revealing that he has self quarantined himself for the past 5 days, explaining how he currently feels by stating that, “My body feels like it got hit by a truck. Headache, exhausted but no fever.”
The 27-year-old might be sick, but no sign of fever means that being infected by the deadly coronavirus can be pretty much struck out, but this does not mean that he is in the clear as he still has symptoms of having flu or something else. The precautions taken by him are on point and this is what everyone around the world should strive to do, both to stay healthy and to control the spread of the virus.
But despite being sick, Nadeshot is certainly enjoying his isolation as a tweet made by him earlier in the day sees him asking for people’s opinion on whether he should play the recently released Call of Duty: Warzone with a ‘Controller’ or ‘Keyboard and Mouse’.
The outbreak of the coronavirus has had an unprecedented impact on the esports industry, with almost all major tournaments across various titles getting canceled, postponed, or transitioned to an online event.
When it comes to CS:GO the prestigious IEM Katowice 2020 for the first time in its history was played without a live audience, while the currently on-going ESL Pro League Season 11 has also transitioned into a region-based online league. The danger now looms on the first Major of 2020 i.e. ESL One: Rio 2020, let's hope that the situation turns around for the better by then.
