With the European and North American qualifiers for DreamHack Open Anaheim 2020 coming to an end yesterday, all teams have been locked down for the main event as forZe, Complexity Gaming, and Gen.G Esports become the final three teams to make their way to Anaheim.

The $100,000 tournament which is taking place at Anaheim Convention Center from 21st - 23rd February will witness participation from a total of 8 teams, 4 of which have been directly invited while the other 4 make it through the various qualifiers. The winning team will also be directly qualifying for DreamHack Masters Jonkoping 2020.

Direct Invites

  • North after competing in Leipzig will continue on to fight at Anaheim as well, their recent move of acquiring Mathias “MSL” Sommer Lauridsen was much appreciated by the fans and the community. It will be great to see them in action and check if they can actually go all the way.

  • The Finnish side ENCE who will be playing the GG.Bet ICE Challenge 2020 with the much-hyped opening match against OG, had not been at their best at the end of 2019. Let’s see how the team performs in Anaheim where they will be aiming nothing short of a first-place finish.

  • The two Brazilian sides MIBR and FURIA will also be looking to at least make it through to the playoffs, but it won’t be all that easy. Both the teams started 2020 on a bad note, failing to qualify for IEM Katowice 2020 through the North American qualifier, in the absence of top teams let’s see if they can do any damage here,

Qualified Teams

With further details about the tournament being revealed in the coming time, let’s stick and enjoy DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 which is scheduled to take place this coming weekend before we move on to Anaheim.
