DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 which is scheduled to take place from 24th - 26th January is all set for the tournament, with all the 8 teams locked down for the $100,000 prize pool while also having a shot to qualify for DreamHack Masters Jonkoping 2020.

These 8 teams have been divided into two groups of four teams each, who will go up against each other in the group stage following a double-elimination format.

Group - A seems to have a good mix of teams. The heavily experienced will be going up against some tough opponents as they step in with their Kazakh lineup. The NA team Cloud9 has been on fire as of late and will try their best to at least make it to the playoffs. Renegades and BIG have undergone some recent roster shuffles and might not be as well prepared as the other two teams in the group.

Group - B, on the other hand, is going to be a three-way Danish derby as Heroic, MAD Lions, and North go up against each other alongside the German roster of Sprout. Both MAD Lions and Heroic performed quite well in the qualifiers, looking in good shape to make it to the Playoffs. Not much can be said about the remaining teams, who have been out of mainstream action for some time now.

This will be the first DreamHack Open tournament of the year, which will also kick start the ESL Pro Tour for the year 2020. Let’s see which team wins it big, nestling themselves a slot for the Master’s tournament scheduled to take place in Jonkoping.
