As per the last update, seven slots which were still left to be filled at the time have now been booked as all the regional qualifiers come to a close. Following are the seven qualifying teams that have made it through, completing the line-up of all participating teams for the main event.

Thailand Qualifier

Unlike last time where every participating country from the SEA region had a separate qualifier, this time around all of them were combined into one regional qualifier, with Thailand being the exception.

Thailand Qualifier consisting of a total of eight teams, five direct invites and three making their way through the open qualifier, came to an end yesterday with ALPHA Red claiming the one available slot to qualify for the main event.

ALPHA Red made it to the finals without dropping a single map, defeating Team Legend and MiTH.Maple along the way. They faced off against Lucid Dream in the finals, and though the match went down to a decider, they looked in control of the last game and secured victory to qualify for Shanghai.

Chinese Qualifier

The Chinese Qualifier was quite competitive with their being an open and a closed qualifier before the final four teams went up against each other in a double-elimination, best-of-three series.

It was tough for Tyloo to qualify, as they dropped down to the lower bracket following a defeat against ViCi in the opening match. From their, Tyloo had to play two do-or-die matches one after the other against OneThree.TSG and EHOME. Tyloo did well to not drop a single map in the two match-ups, qualifying for the main event.

On the other hand, ViCi Gaming survived two really close match-ups against Tyloo and Ehome to qualify for the main event through the upper bracket.

Oceania Qualifier

Grayhound Gaming and ORDER are the two teams to qualify through the region to represent Oceania in Shanghai. The four teams in the final qualifier went up against each other in a best-of-three, double-elimination format with Grayhound Gaming claiming the first place followed by ORDER.

Chiefs ESC who were the winners of the Oceania qualifier last year were not able to make it this time following back-to-back defeats against Grayhound in the upper bracket followed by ORDER in the lower. They did take a map off them both but couldn’t close it down when it came to it.

Mongolia Qualifier

Mongolia Qualifier actually came to an end at the start of the month with the newly formed Mongolian powerhouse, AUGUST, walking through the qualifier without dropping a single map.

After standing first in their group, they went on to defeat 2990 Esports and Mazaalai quite comfortably, securing a first-place finish in the qualifier and making their way to Shanghai to face the real competition.

Korea Qualifier

Can there be any doubt as to which team from the region would qualify for eXTREMESLAND 2019? Once again representing the region in Shanghai will be the current reigning champions, MVP PK.

Though the team went through a huge overhaul and did not perform well at all in the recently concluded ESL Pro League S10 - Asia, they seemed to be getting into the groove as they went past their local competitors with a hitch.

It will be interesting to see if the current champions are able to hold on to the title with the inclusion of teams like Tyloo and Grayhound in the tournament this time around.

With this, all the sixteen teams participating in the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2019 have been booked. And here is a list of them all,
