Amidst all the CS:GO player transfers and benching taking place, and the internet flooded with multiple reports , NRG via Twitter has announced their new Co-CEO, Hector ‘HECZ’ Rodriguez.

Hector had been the Owner and CEO of OpTic Gaming since 2007. In 2017, he had sold his stake in the company to Infinite Esports & Entertainment, and on June 2019, OpTic Gaming was acquired by Immortals Gaming Club.

Since the acquisition, Hector's role in the organization was unclear. After having ‘extensive’ and ‘amicable’ discussions with Immortals Gaming Club, H3CZ declined the opportunity to remain in his current role with OpTic.

After a journey of over twelve years with OpTic Gaming during which Hector has managed to turn the brand into one of the finest esports organizations out there, he has now taken up a new role in NRG. In addition to his skillsets and experience in the esports domain, H3CZ brings with him a large and loyal fanbase to the NRG brand.
