The SEA Qualifier for Conquerors Insignia 2019 came to an end recently with B.O.O.T-d[S] making its way through to the main event, which will be held in Malaysia later this year.
The SEA Qualifier had no direct invites and all the teams competing in it had to make their way through the open qualifier. A total of eight teams made it through the open qualifiers to fight it out for a single slot in the main event.

Group Stage
The eight teams competing in the SEA qualifier were divided into two groups of four teams each. Both these groups followed a single-match round-robin format with the top two teams from each group moving ahead to playoffs.

It was great to see BTRG up there amongst the other SEA teams. With Xccurate joining the roster it was pretty evident that the team had received a boost in their firepower. Though they faltered against Lucid Dream, it was a great run for them considering this was their first qualifier with the new roster.
B.O.O.T-d[S] had to grind it out against Beyond Esports, another strong team from Thailand. After losing the first game on Mirage, B.O.O.T-d[S] picked up the pace to win the remaining two games on Dust 2 and Inferno quite comfortable.
The finale between B.O.O.T-d[S] and Lucid Dream was pretty flat, as the Singaporean squad took down the Lucid Dream in a straight-set, with back-to-back victories on Vertigo and Dust 2.
With this, B.O.O.T-d[S] qualifies through to the main event, successfully joining Global Esports, who qualified through the Asian Subcontinent Qualifier.
With two more teams still to be decided, one through the Middle East Qualifier and the other a direct invite, let’s see how good of a line-up do we get for the Main Event.
