BLAST Pro Series: Moscow 2019 might still be a more than a month away but it's Closed Qualifier for CIS Play-In is about to start in a few days, taking place from 10th-11th August. The Open Qualifier came to an end today with Gambit Youngsters and buAksib making their way through to the Closed Qualifier after fighting through a horde of teams eager to reach the big stage.
Gambit Youngsters were the once who everyone knew was surely going to make it through and they did, without dropping a single map. On the contrary, buAksib survived by the width of a hair to make it past the qualifier.
They lost their first game and just made it past the second to play the decider. The last game on Vertigo was where they performed the best which helped them to move on to the Closed Qualifier.

These two teams will be joining six other directly invited teams in a best-of-three, double-elimination bracket, with the two winning teams playing a three-game series on the day of the main event to see which one of them actually gets to take part in BPS Moscow 2019.

Out of the eight teams that will be fighting for the prized slot Forze shows maximum promise to come out as the winners. They might not have Stryker as their coach but they are still a force to reckon with, having won a spot in the Berlin Major through the CIS Minor Championship and also standing highest on HLTV global rankings amongst its competitors.

But they will not have an easy time as both Team Spirit and AVANGAR is also looking pretty strong. AVANGAR have dropped a lot since their showing at the Katowice Major earlier this year which granted them a spot amongst the returning challengers for the Berlin Major, but who knows they might just do it this time, also it will act as a good warmup before the tournament.
Let’s see which team makes it through to the main stage to play against the five invited teams.
