  • Fire and Ice is a type of skin pattern associated with the Marble Fade knife where the yellow colour is absent.
  • The types of CS:GO knives which can show Fire and Ice skin patterns are Karambit, Bayonet, Flip, and Gut.
  • Read on to find out what this skin pattern actually is, how to identify an actual Fire and Ice knife skin, and more.

The Marble Fade knives in CS:GO with the Fire and Ice skin pattern are some of the rarest items in the game. This particular skin pattern can only appear in four types of knives - Karambit, Bayonet, Flip Knife, and Gut Knife. The CS:GO knife skins are some of the most expensive in-game virtual commodities, unless you are lucky enough to receive one as a drop from a case. This is because knifes in CS:GO are always placed under the category of rare special items, so getting one as a drop is almost near impossible which automatically makes them expensive to purchase directly or trade.

Let’s take a look at what a Fire and Ice skin pattern is, how exactly does a player figure out if the knife actually has an original Fire or an Ice patterned skin or not, and a proper method to check the skin pattern of a Fire and Ice knife pattern yourself.

What is a Fire and Ice knife skin pattern?

The Marble Fade knives in CS:GO are made up of a skin pattern that consists of three main colours red, blue, and yellow. These colours are present in varying quantities on different variants of a Marble Fade knife, identifiable through a random number called the Pattern Index.

A random Pattern Index is assigned to a CS:GO knife when a user unlocks one through a case or collection. There are only certain Pattern Index associated with Marble Fade knives that specifically give it the Fire and Ice skin patterns, which is nothing but a combination of only Red and Blue colours on the knife.

An important point to note here is that, a Marble Fade knife should only be showing the red and blue combination on the playing side of the knife, which is nothing but the side of the knife that faces towards the player when in-game.

An original Fire and Ice skin pattern

The authentic Fire and Ice patterned knife skins are ultra rare. This is simply due to the fact that it is already such a rare occurrence to get a knife as a drop in CS:GO, on top of that you need to be even luckier to get the exact Pattern Index assigned to your knife which has to be either a Karambit, Bayonet, Flip, or a Gut Knife.

If in case there is a hint of yellow colour near the handle, that Marble Fade knife skin pattern is referred to as a ’Max Fake Fire and Ice’. The quality and how close to the original a Fire and Ice skin pattern is decides its price on the market.

How to check if a knife skin pattern is Fire and Ice?

It is pretty easy to check yourself if the Fire and Ice knife skin pattern is original or fake. You can simply check the Pattern Index of the Marble Fade knife that you want to sell, purchase, or trade by following the steps mentioned below,
