Ever wonder what Call of Duty: Warzone or PUBG would look like if they had “win-to-earn” mechanics integrated into the core experience of the game. Well you don’t need to wonder anymore. Bravo ready, a French-Canadian game development studio has announced a web3 shooting game built on the blockchain dubbed the BR1: Infinite Royale–a battle royale game that uses non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

What we know about BR1: Infinite Royale’s gameplay

Using a “win-to-earn'' model wherein players can pay a $1 entry fee to enter a match and the winners receive the winnings based on their in-game performance with Solana’s SOL tokens being rewarded for each kill. At its core, BR1: Infinite Royale is a shooting battle royale game with a large group of players being dropped into a procedurally generated area until only one player is left standing at the end.

Players earn 10% of the opponents’ holdings when they defeat an opponent, or they keep their spawn free and if players get eliminated then the player keeps 85% of the wages won from the kill and pay the $1 fee to respawn.

The game also features customizability options allowing players to change items, cosmetics and other in-game features which will be features as Solana based NFTs and can be traded between players. The game works like a traditional battle royale where players are dropped to the edge of the map and have to work their way through the map while looting and looking for weapons, armor, and resources.

At the time of its Alpha in January, the game had a massive 300 players per match compared to the usual 100 online players per match of other battle royales. This remarkable number along with the low barrier of entry, endless customization, and the opportunity to earn through playing makes this a great competitor for other battle royales out there.

The game is backed by some of the biggest names in the industry such as Solana ventures, 6th Man Ventures, Shima Capital through which they successfully raised $3M, even Twitch Co-Founder and CEO of Fractal marketplace is backing the project.

According to Bravo Ready, this funding will be used to help streamline the efforts of the eight-employee team to work on a broader scale and expand its automated smart contract technology, which will allow for a unique crossover of a metaverse concept with typical triple-A titles.
