Chainmonsters Commences Phase 2 of Its Beta
Chainmonsters is a blockchain-based, free to play MMORPG inspired by the world of Pokémon where players explore the beautiful world of Ancora with resource gathering and being a part of a player driven economy and form of a team of Chainmons to battle against other players. B-Team, the developers behind the game, revealed some new updates for its upcoming Beta Phase 2 which includes the release of the Chainmon Demo version. The company is also updating its user interface, adding mobile optimizations and updating the Chainmons with fresh designs.
Chainmonsters enters Phase 2 of its beta with a long list of updates
Chainmonsters has launched this free demo, giving everyone including newcomers to the project a chance to try out the 3D title for a limited time until the main version is released. The last beta was in December and they recently also released the IOS and Android versions of the game.
The phase 2 updates also include drastic improvements to the graphics quality. The textures have been updated to make the models more realistic as well as making them fit within the environment and not look odd or stand out.
There were also updates made to optimize the mobile version and the game is also updated to run at a stable 30+ FPS across all the devices. Along with this, for the story they have added a cinematic cutscene system which will enable it to make the story more immersive and engaging. Additional dialogues and new characters have also been added to accentuate this.
Chainmonsters is a Pokemon-esque MMORPG that runs on the Flow Blockchain. Currently, the game is in a unique state where it doesn't have any cryptocurrency or in-game tokens in it. However, it relies on NFTs that can be traded on the Chainmonsters marketplace–through which you can purchase various in-game items like power-ups, items, fossils and of course Chainmons.
The game is currently aiming for a February 2023 release and will be available on iOS, Android, and at launch. Plans to launch it on consoles like Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch are also in place.
