Axie Infinity: Homeland Alpha is Now Live
Popular Blockchain Game Axie Infinity has launched the alpha-version of Homeland, its flagship land-based expansion that will see players guide their Axies in establishing a thriving settlement on the beautiful planet of Lunacia where players can embark on various tasks including gathering and storing materials, optimize Axie farming, building structures on the land, creating new equipment, and increasing the number of Axies that can be owned.
Homeland that was initially announced by Axie Infinity in February 2021, allows players who own land to farm and gather resources to improve their land. It is a version of the Axie Infinity game built on the land NFT platform and is only compatible with playing on PCs. The game is only available to Axie Infinity players who have already purchased Land at launch.

Axie Infinity has clarified that the alpha version of Homeland is focused on gathering feedback and giving players an opportunity to explore the current features of the game. Players can report unresolved bugs and make suggestions for game enhancements through feedback portals that the game developers have opened.
In the future, Homeland will also feature AXS token integration, NFT Axie trading, co-play activities, a game mode without Land, and other features. Players can customize their homeland with various structures and features, and engage in activities such as harvesting, crafting, and battling with their Axie creatures.
The team behind Axie Infinity expressed its excitement to bring this new feature to their community of dedicated players, and launched a Season 0 Alpha Launch Contest. The Top players will receive special in-game titles for reaching the highest ranks on the leaderboard during Season 0.
Axie Infinity: Homeland is available now via the Mavis Hub in PC and Macs. However, currently the game is only available for Landowners. They can play the game by downloading the and installing the game through the Mavis. Players who do not currently own land can purchase one at .
Homeland is still at a very early stage of development and it could take years before the game is ready for a full-release. This release officially marks the start of Phase 1 and Alpha Season 0. The developers expect Alpha Season 0 to last 4 weeks with more Alpha Seasons after that.
Once the developers smooth out and improve the game over the upcoming year they will exit Alpha and all progress will be reset. However, players will be able to keep exclusive off-chain cosmetics they’ve earned in the Alpha period.
