Blockchain gaming has been on the rise these past few years. Every day, we see new developers launching ambitious projects using Web3 concepts. Even existing companies are gradually shifting from Web2 to the newer Web3 model. Although these changes are regarded as a net positive for the younger generation, companies seem to have forgotten the older generation in this Play-to-Earn (P2E) era. This is where Zebedee and Viker vow to be different.

Zebedee, a Bitcoin-centric gaming startup recently partnered with Viker, a popular mobile games studio to bring back the classic games with a Play-to-Earn twist. Users will now be able to play their all-time favorite games like Solitaire, Sudoku, and Missing Letters and be awarded Bitcoin for simply playing. Even the older generations who are not very familiar with the newer games can venture into the P2E genre and earn Bitcoin.

Partnership between Zebedee and Viker

The partnership between Zebedee and Viker has already produced some great results in the past. Games like Wheel of Trivia and Balls King, the results of this partnership, have been received really well by the fans. The biggest positive is the fact that users need not have any experience with cryptocurrencies or Play-to-Earn games. This makes the whole process easier and hence it allows new users to quickly get started.

Classic games like Sudoku and Solitaire have not received much innovation over the years but with a P2E twist, users may dive right back in and play these all-time favorites. Creative ventures like these have helped the Play-to-Earn concept find its footing as a popular gaming model. Referring to these games, Dan Beasley, a co-founder of Viker, said, "These games are played literally by billions of people, for hundreds of hours over many years. But so far, none of them have been able to earn anything for their time. Why continue that, when we're now in an era where games can reward you with more than just fun?”

How to get started?

The process is fairly simple and there is no technical knowledge required. All players need to do is enter their Zebedee GamerTag, which can be obtained via the Zebedee app, and log in to the Viker app where they would play the game. Players can press withdraw at any time to see the earned coins in the Zebedee app.

Zebedee implements Bitcoin Lightning Network

Over the years, Bitcoin has been used in numerous ways but often, it suffers from higher transaction costs and slower transaction speed. To counter this problem, Lightning Network was developed. The Lightning Network is essentially a layer-2 built upon the Bitcoin network. It is completely separate from the main Bitcoin network but regularly interacts with it. Simply put, implementing this network means Bitcoin transactions are faster and cheaper.

Zebedee uses the Bitcoin Lightning Network to integrate the Play-to-Earn aspect in gaming seamlessly. This makes its transactions faster and cheaper. For users, it means that their rewards are fully visible and transferable faster than ever before.
