BR1 Metaverse Game: Everything You Need to Know About This Risk-Based Game

Cover-Credits:
Even though cryptocurrencies have become a mainstream concept, most people are only aware of the popular ones based on the Ethereum blockchain. Solana is a relatively newer blockchain and is regarded as an “Ethereum Killer” by many crypto enthusiasts. Until a few years back, the use cases of Solana were minimal but today, there are full-fledged NFT and Web3 projects built on this blockchain. BR1 is one such project which is built on the Solona network.
BR1 is a shooter game that uses NFT technology and is a high-risk, high-reward game, unlike most games that offer very little incentives for users. Although the concept of BR1 is fundamentally different from existing market titles, it is developed with a user-first approach. Currently, BR1 has received investments from popular companies like Krafton, Solana Ventures, and Shima Capital to name a few. According to the game's publisher, the co-founder of Twitch, Justin Kan, has also invested in the BR1 Metaverse Game.
What can you do in BR1?
At its core, BR1 Metaverse Game is a looting and shooting game built on the Solana blockchain. However, it is fundamentally different from other FPS and Battle Royale titles due to its unique Play-to-Earn mechanism. BR1 has implemented a dedicated system in which user incentive is prioritized and is easily accessible.
Currently, there are two game modes available in BR1:
Infinite
Infinite Royale is one of the most popular game modes of BR1. Infinite is a risk-based game mode in which users need to pay a fee of $1 in Solana to spawn in the game. After the game starts, a Kill-to-Earn mechanism is implemented. This means as one keeps defeating others, they earn either their entry fee or 10% of the wealth they have on them in $SOL. In Infinite Royale, the map’s hot zone gets more intense as users venture into the center of the map. There is better loot at the core but venturing to the center comes with the risk of facing chaotic fights in the early game.
Free-for-All
Infinite Free-for-All is considered to be a testing ground for Infinite Royale. This mode serves as an entry point for users into the BR1 metaverse. As the name suggests, Free-for-All is free to play and users that play on the free-for-all mode get $USDC for every kill they secure. After users get acquainted with the game mechanics, they can venture into the tougher and riskier world of Infinite Royale.
How to play BR1?
BR1 is still under development but users can try out an available version by heading over to the official website and registering their account. After successful registration, users will be sent a confirmation email to their registered email address. Once the email verification is complete, users can log in using their credentials and select the download option at the top left corner after which the download will begin. The game is currently only available on PCs.
NFTs in BR1
Once the game officially launches, users will have to own NFTs to play the game. The Open-Alpha is free to play and those interested can test the game before its launch to make a decision. Notably, in BR1, there are two types of NFTs a user can obtain:
BR1 Genesis Ape
Apes are the rarest of all BR1 Operatovies and provide significant in-game advantages to the owner. The profitability increases by 5% in Infinity Royale, they have a smaller hitbox and also have breeding rights and airdrops.
BR1 Droid
Droid is a secondary NFT collection launched by BR1 and provides limited in-game benefits. Droids will have a significant height and reach advantages in the game. NFT holders will also receive access to all BR1 data tools like Ape and Droid sales, snipe bots, owner information, and more. Droid operatives will have a cloning potential although it will be limited in comparison to the genesis ape collection.
BR1 is proving to be a fan-favorite project due to its exciting gameplay and Play-to-Earn mechanisms. It provides a breath of fresh air in a highly repetitive blockchain gaming market. With strong foundations and great investors, BR1 has the potential to be one of the biggest projects in this space. Users can test the Alpha version now, but the final release will be a true reflection of the project.
