Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason - All You Need to Know
- Riot Games announces their first official Wild Rift tournament, the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason.
- The event will be hosted across seven location-specific tournament circuits namely, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, where teams will battle it out for the title of local champions. After the preseason, teams can participate in the summer season for a chance to compete in the pan-regional tournament.
- Professional esports teams that have already been invited to the event include Bren Esports, Alter Ego, TODAK and many more.
The Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason has been announced. It will be the first official tournament for the popular Mobile MOBA hosted by Riot Games. The Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason will be a five weekend-long regional tournament across seven location-specific tournament circuits, where teams will battle it out for the title of local champions. After the preseason, teams in each region will have a chance to participate in the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Summer Season. In this eight-week-long tournament, teams from across the region will compete to prove they are the best in their local region and proceed to the pan-regional tournament.

Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason
The Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason will kick off on Feb. 26, 2021. The three-day-long weekend tournaments for the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore will feature exciting entertainment and action-packed events for each region coming from Riot Games’ regional esports partners.

- Vietnam (VNG): February 26 - 28
- Malaysia (ESL): March 6 - 7
- Taiwan (Cyber Games Arena): March 11 - 14
- Thailand (ESL): March 13 - 14
- The Philippines (PPGL): March 20 - 21
- Indonesia (One Up): March 19 - 21
- Singapore (Eliphant): March 26 - 28

The Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Preseason will also feature popular professional esports teams from across Southeast Asia. These are the following teams that are confirmed to make an appearance in the tournament;

- The Philippines - Bren Esports, RRQ PH, Team Secret
- Singapore - The Alliance
- Taiwan - Flash Wolves, ONE Team, TXO
