It’s almost time for Wild Rift’s Pentaboom Showdown Event. This event is in celebration of Wild Rift’s successful open beta release in Southeast Asia. 40 celebrities and content creators across Southeast Asia will compete in this tournament.
Eight teams of five players each, featuring fan-favorite content creators and personalities from different Southeast Asian countries such as Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam will compete for a prize pool of $66,500 USD, as well as bragging rights to call themselves the strongest Wild Rift team in the region.
The event will broadcast live on December 12 and 13 in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Burmese, English, Khmer, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese on Wild Rift Official channels like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch.

Wild Rift Pentaboom Showdown Tournament Format
Day 1: The 8 teams will be randomly seeded in Groups A and B. The teams in each group will then proceed to face off in a Round-Robin Best-Of-One format.
Day 2: All teams will participate in the Quarter-finals, and will be matched based on their result on Day 1. Teams will compete in a Best-Of-One format and make their way to the Semi-finals. Winners of the Semi-finals will clash in the Best-Of-Five series for the Championship, while third and fourth place will be determined through a Best-Of-Three format.
Additional Prizes for the Pentaboom Showdown Champions
The winning team will be crowned the Champions of the Rift with a grand prize of $20,000 USD. Each member of the winning team will go home with one Secretlab OMEGA League of Legends Collection chair of their choice.
On top of the prize pool, Riot Games will also donate $60,000 USD to several charities including Room to Read (Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam), Openminds Project (Thailand), Beyond Social Services (Singapore), Passerelles Numeriques (the Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam) and Wing Melaka (Malaysia).
