The regional champions of the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series: Summer Season for Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, and Indonesia have been announced with the champions from Taiwan and Hong Kong soon to be revealed this June 13, 2021. The eight regional champions along with the runner-ups will then proceed to the Wild Rift SEA Icon Series 2021: Summer Super Cup this June 16, 2021, to compete and determine who is the strongest Wild Rift team in Southeast Asia. EVOS Esports TH won the ESL Mobile Open 2021 Summer: Thailand.

EVOS Esports TH went undefeated in the group stage, resulting in a perfect score of 7-0. This continued until the playoffs where they dominated Buriram United Esports in the grand finals and took the regional championship title and the $19,199 USD prize money. The runner-up team Buriram United Esports, will be going home with the $8,000 USD prize and will be joining EVOS Esports TH in the upcoming Wild Rift SEA Icon Series 2021: Summer Super Cup.

Berjaya Dragons won the ESL Mobile Open 2021 Summer: Malaysia.

Similar to EVOS Esports TH, Berjaya Dragons also went undefeated in their run in the ESL Mobile Open 2021 Summer: Malaysia with a score of 6-0 in the group stage. In the grand finals, Berjaya Dragons managed to dominate Geek Fam with a score of 4-1, claiming the regional champion and the $4,845 USD prize money. Geek Fam, on the other hand, will have to settle for runner-up and went home with $2,422 USD prize money.

Amihan Esports surprised the fans as they dominated the fan-favorite Team Secret in the grand finals of the PPGL 2021 Summer Playoffs with a score of 3-2, taking the title of regional champions and the $8,387 USD rize money. The runner-up, Team Secret went home with $6,290 USD prize money.

SBTC Esports won the Southeast Asia Icon Series 2021: Summer - Vietnam

SBTC Esports ranked third in the final group stage ranking with a score of 6 wins and 3 losses. However, they completely dominated the playoffs, taking down Cereberus Esports with a clean sweep victory in the grand finals. SBTC Esports went home with the regional championship title and the $34,761 USD prize money. Cerberus Esports, on the other hand, went home with $21,726 USD prize money.

Alliance won the Southeast Asia Icon Series 2021: Summer - Singapore.

Alliance dominated the regional finals with a clean sweep against Impunity, resulting in a score of 3-0, claiming the title of regional champions and the $9,070 USD prize money. It is also interesting to note that Alliance achieved clean sweep victories in all of their playoffs matches. The runner-up, Impunity went home with the $4,535 USD prize money.

Onic Esports won the Southeast Asia Icon Series 2021: Summer - Indonesia.

Onic Esports emerged victorious against Bigetron Infinity in a fist-clenching match in the Southeast Asia Icon Series 2021: Summer - Indonesia with a score of 4-3. The two teams were fairly even in terms of skills and team chemistry which led to a long and action-packed 7th match where Onic Esports finally took the title of regional champion along with the $5,265 USD prize money. Bigetron Infinity will have to settle for the runner-up title along with the $2,808 USD prize money.

Southeast Asia Icon Series 2021: Summer - Taiwan

The playoffs will kick off on June 10 and will last until June 13, 2021. Currently, the teams who qualified for the next stage are ONE Team, MESPORTS, Flash Wolves, K7 Esports, ahq e-Sports Club, FTG Team, Eternal Victory, and Strong Gaming. 

Southeast Asia Icon Series 2021: Summer - Hong Kong

The regional tournament for Hong Kong is still underway with MVP leading the ranks with a 14-0 score followed by QWQ with a 12-2 score. Until then, players will have to keep their eyes peeled for the playoffs on June 12, 2021. 


The regional champions along with the runner-ups will represent their respective regions for the upcoming Wild Rift SEA Icon Series 2021: Summer Super Cup on June 19, 2021.
