The Cyberathlete Collegiate Mobile Legends Series in Southeast Asia has recently been announced, boasting a $250,000 USD prize pool. This is currently one of the biggest prize pools offered in collegiate esports in Southeast Asia. The Cyberathlete Collegiate Mobile Legends Series is organized by Singapore-based esports tournament organizer Cyberathlete, which also hosted the Valorant Collegiate tournament last year. The tournament will begin in May with qualifiers for the participating regions, followed by the top teams from each country competing for one of eight salaried spots in the seasonal play. $250,000 USD in the Collegiate Mobile Legends Series
Cyberathlete The Collegiate Mobile Legends Series boasts a prize pool of $250,000 USD.The Cyberathlete Collegiate Mobile Legends Series will be a multi-staged tournament hosted in four different countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. 

These are the organizations that will handle the regional qualifiers;

  • Singapore — Singapore’s Cybersports & Online Gaming Association (SCOGA) with support from Singapore Esports Association (SGEA)
  • Malaysia — E-Stars Nation
  • Philippines — National Esports Federation of Philippines (NESFP)
  • Indonesia — Ligagame Esports

The top teams who qualified for each region will earn a slot for seasonal play where they will compete for a total of three regular seasons, complete with incentives and salaries. 

Tournament Format

The Cyberathlete Collegiate Mobile Legends Series will start with a regional open qualifier that begins in May and lasts until August 2021. The top teams in each region will then compete for a spot in the Collegiate Mobile Legends Series for three regular seasons. Teams that qualify for this stage will receive salaries throughout the season.

Top Teams from the three seasonal leagues will compete in the World Championship.

In December 2022, the top four teams will advance to the World Collegiate Finals and compete for the lion's share of the $250,000 USD prize pool.

  • Regional Season 1: September 10 - October 22, 2022
  • Season Championship: November 5, 2022
