After a few days of testing out the Position Preference feature in League of Legends: Wild Rift, players can finally enjoy the feature in their ranked games starting today. The Position Preference feature in Wild Rift allows players to set their preferred roles before starting a ranked match. After setting your preferred roles, the game will prioritize one of your top positions as much as possible. This means that role conflicts will be minimized as this will let players take control of how they want to play the game. Here is more information regarding the new Position Preference feature in Wild Rift.
Wild Rift Position Preference Feature: Details
The Position Preference Feature in Wild Rift will allow players to set their most preferred role down to the least role they want. They will then be matched with players according to their preference to make a team with different role specialization. The best part of this feature is that, unlike the PC version, players can just set this once and don’t have to reset their preference every match unless they are necessary.
Previously, this feature has a separate matchmaking queue called Position Lab. After a satisfying result of the test phase, the feature is now available in ranked matches for all regions. However, this is still a work in progress, and the devs are seeking to improve this feature for months to come.
Players will have to download the new patch, or else they won’t be able to play the game. So make sure you download the patch through a stable network connection to avoid any issues.
The devs stated that if players want this Position Preference feature to stay in Wild Rift, they have to play the game more and provide the devs with enough data to improve the feature.
