Wild Rift Patch 2.2: New Champions
Galio - The Colossus
Galio is a tank mage that is both durable and powerful. He can taunt enemies and force them to fight. His ultimate allows him to initiate team fights in so many unsuspecting ways, making him one of the best engage tanks in the game.
Rammus - The Armordillo
His iconic “OK” is what makes him very memorable. Don’t let his looks deceive you, he can chase down enemies easily with his rolling stance and deflect damage from enemies right back at them, which can lead to some funny moments where marksmen can die with their own basic attacks.
Kha Zhix - The Voidreaver
This champion is capable of going invisible and catches unsuspecting enemies. He also evolves every time he upgrades his ultimate skill allowing him to better adapt to any situation given.
Rengar - The Pridestalker
Rengar collects his enemies’ heads and uses them as trophies, gaining new abilities with each trophy collected. He can also turn invisible and can leap outside of bushes allowing him to reach opponents further away. Bushes will never be safe if you’re playing against Rengar.
Renekton - The Butcher of the Sands
Renekton is a pretty durable fighter champion. His ultimate allows him to grow in size, making him very tanky. He also gains more power the lower his health is, so enemies should be weary when fighting a low HP Renekton.
Wild Rift Patch 2.2: Master of the Hunt Event
This event has been teased during the Season 2021 Opening Livestream last January 2021. The Master of the Hunt event features the two rivals Kha Zhix and Rengar, as they fight and determine who is the hunter and who is the prey. The event is expected to be released on April 2021.
This event will also introduce a new gameplay mechanic which is exclusive for this event. This feature came from the PC version where rivals according to the lore will have special objectives and whoever wins will gain a slight buff for the entire match. More details will be provided at a later date.
Wild Rift Patch 2.2: Item and Gameplay Features
New tank items have been added to the game. These items are Frozen Heart, Force of Nature, and Sunfire Aegis.
The Summoner Spell Ghost has also received a slight rework. Once activated, champions will gain a movement speed boost. Enemy takedowns will refresh the duration of the buff similar to Jinx’s Get Excited Passive.

Wild Rift Patch 2.2: Position Preference Feature
Players have been asking for a Role Selection System for Wild Rift ever since the early open beta launch of the game. Finally, the devs have revealed a much better alternative, the Position Preference feature.
Players can choose what playstyle they are much comfortable with and the matchmaking system will try to assign you one of your preferred roles in the game. For players who haven’t set their preference, the matchmaking system will assign you a role based on your recent matches.
This new feature will only be available for a few days as the devs are still collecting data to make improvements in the future.
Wild Rift Patch 2.2: Aram Game Mode
One of the most awaited game modes in Wild Rift has finally arrived. Players will be able to All Random All Mid (ARAM) game mode during the upcoming patch for a limited time.
ARAM is a fast-paced one-lane game mode where players are assigned random champions and fight their way to the enemy nexus. There will be no healing and purchasing of items once you leave the base, so the only way to buy items is by dying.
