Garena announces Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore (FFWS 2021 SG) with a $2 million USD prize pool. Free Fire’s most iconic esports tournament is making a comeback in May, featuring twenty-two teams from fourteen different regions. Play-ins for the FFWS 2021 SG will be on May 22 and the finals on May 29, 2021. Previously, it was originally planned to be held on April 24 and May 1 but was shifted to accommodate the global pandemic. India will be represented by the top two teams from the Free Fire India Championships (FFIC) 2021 Spring. Read on for more details about FFWS 2021 SG.

Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore Details

The FFWS 2021 SG will host the Play-ins in May 22and the Finals on May 29, 2021. Twenty-two teams from across fourteen regions will compete in Singapore for the title of FFWS Champions and a lion’s share of the $2 million USD prize pool, the highest in mobile esports yet. The top two teams from the Play-ins will then proceed to the Finals along with the top ten seeds from each region-level tournaments. 

India will be represented by the top two teams from the FFIC 2021 Spring while other regions will be represented by teams who placed either first or second in their respective region-level tournaments.

FFWS 2021 SG Tournament Schedule

Teams will compete over six rounds, across three different Free Fire maps. Points will be awarded based on the teams' round ranking and number of kills.

The FFWS 2021 SG highlights Garena’s efforts to deliver quality esports content to the global community while also maintaining safety as the main priority. With the support of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and in close collaboration with organizations such as Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association, Garena aims to ensure that all activities are in line with the prevailing public health protocols and travel policies.

“We know how highly-anticipated the World Series is to our players and fans, so we’ve been working together with the relevant authorities to ensure we give them the biggest Free Fire tournament we’ve ever hosted. Safety has been and will continue to be our biggest priority as we carry out the event,” stated Justin Lye, Global Esports Manager.
