MPL PH Season 7 Regular Season Format and Groups Announced

The MPL PH Season 7 regular season format has been revealed through Mobile Legends’ official social media handles. The MPL PH Season 7 is one of the Philippines’ biggest esports events, boasting a prize pool of $120,000 USD. During the regular season, teams are divided into Group A and Group B. Teams will then compete on a BO3 format and acquire as many points as they can at the end of the regular season. The top four teams with the highest points will proceed to the MPL PH Season 7 Playoffs.

MPL Season 7 Regular Season: Team Groups and Format

Eight invited teams and two teams from the qualifiers will compete for a chance to join the MPL PH Season 7 Playoffs. The teams will be divided into two groups. The teams’ goal is to earn as many points as they can and be one of the top four teams at the end of the regular season. 

Here are the teams for each group;

Group A

• Bren Esports
• Aura PH
• Onic PH
• Cignal Ultra
• Work-Auster Force

Group B

• Omega Esports
• Execration
• Blacklist International
• Nexplay Esports
• Aus Playbook Esports

The matches will be played in a B03 format. Each team will play two BO3 matches against four other teams in their group and play one BO3 match with each of the five other teams in the opposing group. Teams will acquire points based on their performance for each match.

MPL Season 7 Regular Season: Points Distribution

The teams will gain points depending on how many wins and losses they acquire with each BO3 match they compete in. 

Here are the points that teams can acquire based on their matches. 

• Winning 2:0 = 3 points
• Winning 2:1 = 2 points
• Losing 1:2 = 1 points
• Losing 0:2 = 0 points

The top four teams with the most points will proceed to the MPL PH Season 7 Playoffs.

As one of the biggest esports events in the Philippines, MPL PH Season 7 invites eight of the best Mobile Legends esports teams from the Philippines along with two rising teams from the qualifiers to compete for the title of MPL PH Season 7 Champion and a lion’s share of the $120,000 Prize Pool.
