Varus in Wild Rift might be getting a buff in the upcoming patch, as hinted by Wild Rift Manager Jonathan Chao. According to the manager, they recently playtested the champion with Wild Rift Lead Balance and Controls Designer Alexander Huang and figured Varus in Wild Rift needs a buff after they felt the champion’s lackluster performance in the playtest. Varus in Wild Rift is often regarded as one of the least impactful champions in the mobile game. It would seem that the devs have heard the fans’ complaints and decided to playtest the champion and see for themselves.

Varus is one of the few champions in Wild Rift with balanced stats for Attack Damage(AD) and Ability Power(AP). However, due to this, the champion felt lackluster compared to heavy AD marksmen like Jinx and Jhin. This has made Varus less viable and less played by players in the game.

Fans have been complaining about how Varus has been left out in the game for quite some time. It would seem that the devs have taken note of this and started playtesting the champion and figure how they can fit this champion in the current meta.

According to a Twitter post by Wild Rift game manager Jonathan Chao, he expressed his dissatisfaction about the hero during a playtest with Lead Balance and Controls Designer Alexander Huang. He also hints that the champion needs a buff which might be coming in the future.

The game manager also announced that the upcoming patch would come within two weeks. He states that they had to change schedules due to some dev constraints.
