  • According to the game manager of Wild Rift, Jonathan Chao, Teemo is the most played champion in the game.
  • Despite Teemo being released just a few weeks ago, he currently has a 50% an astonishing win rate.
  • Teemo is known for being an annoying champion to play against. But this didn't stop him from being the most played Champion in Wild Rift

When Teemo was released as part of the Yordle Expedition event, which kicked off on Jan. 9th, 2021 in Wild Rift, many players were scared of the champion due to its reputation of being one of the most annoying ones to play against in the game’s PC version. But that didn’t stop him from becoming the most played champion in the game.

The Most Played Champion in Wild Rift

According to Jonathan Chao, Wild Rift’s game manager, Teemo is the most played champion in the past few days with an astonishing 50% win rate. Considering that Teemo has just been released in the game, it shows that a lot of people have been looking forward to playing one of the most iconic champions in Wild Rift.

The 50% win rate also indicates that Teemo isn’t an OP champion, contrary to popular belief. The reason this champion is so popular is because of his annoying nature. He may not deal as much damage compared to Kennen, who is currently the best Mage in the game, but his map pressure is exceptionally good due to his ultimate skill, “Noxious Trap”.

Even though many players say that they hate or are afraid of Teemo, it seems like a lot more actually enjoy playing him in the game. Even if you aren’t doing well in the match, you can still contribute to the team by placing your traps in crucial parts of the map to act as wards or catch the enemies off guard.

Needless to say, this isn’t the last we’ll ever see this cute little yordle. Teemo is one of those champions that never gets out of place even after major updates to the game. Players will hate and at the same time love playing as Teemo in years to come.
