PUBG Mobile has grown impressively big this year, delivering esports opportunities globally. Recently, the official Instagram account of PUBG Mobile Vietnam has posted that a new esports tournament will be held next year in Vietnam. The Prize Pool for the tournament is worth 11.5 Billion VND($499,108 USD).

An Instagram post was made by the official PUBG Mobile Vietnam on Dec. 30, 2020, regarding their upcoming esports tournament next year.

What really got the attention of the fans was the staggering prize pool of 11.5 Billion Vietnamese dongs ($499,108 USD). 

“Team up and get ready for one of the biggest PUBG Mobile tournaments with a total prize pool of 11.5 billion VND.” The post captioned. 

The tournament mentioned is probably the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Vietnam. The PMPL is one of the biggest esports events for PUBG Mobile. The PMPL Vietnam has two seasons and the top teams in the tournament will advance to the PMPL SEA Finals. 

No further information has been announced for this tournament. Vietnamese PUBG Mobile fans should keep their eyes peeled in the upcoming weeks for updates regarding this esports event.

During the PUBG Mobile Global Championships (PMGC) last month, Tencent revealed their esports plans for 2021. They stated that the total prize pool for all esports competitions will be worth $14 Million. 

Tencent revealed that they would continue making efforts into delivering esports opportunities to more regions including CIS, Turkey, Western Europe, Arabia, North America, Latin America, and Brazil.
