Garena Free Fire Officially Announced Collaboration with Cristiano Ronaldo in Operation Chrono Update

After months of teasing us with their collaboration with a famous, secret celebrity, The wait is finally over. Garena Free Fire finally revealed that Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo would be making his way into the game, along with the upcoming December update for the game, Operation Chrono.
Free Fire has been rising in the ranks as one of the best Battle Royale games in existence. Its momentum seems unstoppable as it collaborated with celebrities like Hrithik Roshan and DJ KSHMR making new characters based on them (Jai and K). This time, they’ve collaborated with one of the most famous athletes in the world.

Who is Cristiano Ronaldo?
Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese professional football superstar who plays for Serie A club Juventus and is the Portuguese national team captain. He is one of the best players in the world. He is also an ambassador for Shopee, Garena’s online shopping platform for Southeast Asia and Taiwan.
Free Fire x Cristiano Ronaldo Collaboration
The hype started when Garena Free Fire data miners found information regarding a collaboration event in the game’s advanced server. The data miners dug out an event called Operation Chrono and emotes that showed a football player and a description “Envy my movements?”.
Not long after the leaks, Garena released a new character in the advanced server called “Mystery Character” which was Chrono, aka Cristiano Ronaldo. He will become a playable character after the Operation Chrono update goes live.
The update is composed of a whole new universe built around Cristiano Ronaldo as Chrono and new weapons and items for the players to unlock. In the press release, the Juventus star expressed his excitement about collaborating with Garena Free Fire.
“It’s a great feeling having not only a character in Free Fire modeled after me, but also having the whole universe within the game-changing along with it,” said Cristiano Ronaldo.

Chrono Character Release Date
A picture depicting Garena Free FIre’s collaboration with Cristiano Ronaldo as Chrono can be seen in-game. The Character is likely to arrive on December 19, 2020, with the Operation Chrono Update’s arrival.
