What is FAU-G: Fearless and United Guards?
FAU-G is billed as a multiplayer-action mobile title, which is being developed by the Bangalore based Studio nCore. The company has previously only released one other app on the Google Play Store, titled ‘Tappi’.
According to the developers, “FAU-G is a proudly made in India project from nCore Games that pays tribute to the heroes of our nation’s armed forces. Based on real-world scenarios, FAU-G brings to life the thrill and adrenaline of a life spent guarding India’s borders.”
A trailer of the game was also released, showcasing the setting of the game which seems to be based on the Galwan valley clash between Indian and Chinese armed forces.
Esports plans for the game
Ganesh Hande, Co-Founder and COO at Ncore Games hinted about the game’s ambitious esports plans in an interview with The Mako Reactor.
“We will be getting into esports but after we get the core gameplay and all the other mechanics built out,” said Hande. “So there is going to be a big esports play for us for sure.”
However, considering the fact that the game will be a multiplayer cop-op game against computer opponents, it will be interesting to see how it builds a competitive mode to make its way into the esports arena.
