TSM Entity Player Ghatak Hints At Massive PUBG Mobile Esports Circuit
TSM Entity player/coach Ghatak has just stated that PUBG Mobile esports tournaments will feature INR 6 Crore ($809,160 USD) as prize money for the winners with the average Tier 1 esports player receiving a salary in excess of INR 40,000 ($539).
Speaking to AFK Gaming, Ghatak said:
“While we have to wait and watch for the official announcements, all I can promise is that we are headed towards exciting times. I'm glad to have invested my energy and time into my boys who I'm sure are going to top every tournament that's headed India's way.”
Considering the fact that Indian PUBG Mobile tournaments like the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020 and PMCO - Fall Split: South Asia reward the winners with up to 40% of the total prize pool, we can estimate that the tournament will feature a net prize pool that exceeds INR 15 Crores($2,024,032) which will make it the largest mobile esports tournament in the world.
If this indeed turns out to be actually true, PUBG Mobile India will become the biggest esports game in India by a massive margin. The incredibly high prize pool and salaries will make esports a viable, reliable source of income for aspiring pro players who in turn can focus on developing their skills in the game.
