PUBG Mobile India announced its return on November 12th with a $100 Million USD investment accompanying it. Following this, a teaser was also released promoting the popular mobile game’s return to India. However, reports have also emerged, stating that the Indian government is finding it “difficult to grant any relaxation” for PUBG Mobile India. The teaser also did not have any indications regarding its release date.
So PUBG Mobile fans in India are getting a little angsty about when the game will be released in the country. Another potential blow has also happened with the game's alleged pre-registration link being removed from the TapTap store.
Unverified PUBG Mobile India Pre-Registration Link Removed from TapTap store
After the initial announcement of the upcoming ‘PUBG Mobile India’ game was made, a pre-registration page was spotted on the TapTap store. TapTap is an alternative to the Google Play Store / Apple App Store. However, this was neither verified nor promoted by PUBG Corp.
It secured around 200k pre-registrations quickly, with many fans believing that this was an indication of the game returning to India giving it rave reviews. At the time of writing, the game has a 9.8/10 rating with 383,384 Followers. However, a few fans were quite skeptical about this app, claiming that it was fake and unauthentic.
Now, the pre-registration button has been removed from the TapTap store for both Android and iOS users. It has been replaced with a button that displays ‘unavailable’.
PUBG Mobile India players need not be too discouraged by this development, considering the fact that this was neither verified nor endorsed by PUBG Corp. The game’s official download links are expected to go up on the official Google Play Store and the Apple App Store when it eventually releases in India.
The download link for the game will likely also be available on PUBG Mobile India’s official website when it finally releases.
