- Week 1 of PMPL SEA vs SA Scrims come to an end with Bigetron RA being crowned the winners.
- Both Fnatic and TSM-Entity gave a tough fight.
Week 1 of the PMPL SEA vs South Asia Scrims came to an end with world champions Bigetron Red Aliens being crowned the victors. The competition was close with both Fnatic and TSM-Entity closing distance up until the last map of the week. However, both sides were eliminated by Team Tamilas early in the crucial game and were unable to close the gap at the top.
The final day was filled with end to end action as all eyes were on Fnatic to see if the team would be able to catch up to Bigetron. The Indonesian team themselves were not playing as they had finished their games on day 2 itself. Needing 65 points in 5 maps, Fnatic started off the day in incredible fashion with a 11 kill chicken dinner to narrow the gap further. In the next map as well, the team ended in the top 3, giving the Indian fans some real hope. On Miramar, the team were contested at their drop by not one but two teams and even though they triumphed over both sides, they lost two members and were unable to add too many points to their tally. On the 4th map, Ronak and Sc0utOP led Fnatic to the top 5 finish leaving the team to get 8 points in the final map to be crowned as the champions. However, it wasn't meant to be as the team were eliminated in 15th place in the final match after getting caught in a disastrous position in the open.
The other team who also had a good outing were TSM-Entity, who won their only map of the week on Vikendi. However, even when the team aren't getting the chicken dinner, they always remain consistent with both placements and kills and star fragger, Jonathan finished the week as the top fragger, followed by Fnatic' Sc0utOP. Team Tamilas too had an excellent outing on the final day, and although the team didn't do too well in the overall table, it was great to see the team get back to their aggressive frag hungry ways and play without fear.
In the end, world champion, Bigetron will be the victors of week 1 followed by Fnatic and TSM-Entity. The 3 days provided some great action and some very intense competition. Let's hope that the remaining 2 weeks continue to be as exciting and we can already see a great inter regional rivalry being built.
