MPL - Indonesia Continues To Impress By Breaking Viewership Records

  • MPL-ID continues to impress by pulling in big viewership numbers across all platforms.
  • A match between Evos Legends and RRQ saw over 650K concurrent viewers during the league stage.
  • With a total prize pool of 300,000 USD, the finals of MPL ID S5 will kick off on ther  10th of April. 

The MLBB Professional League or MPL is one of the premier tournaments for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and is currently in it’s 5th season. The Indonesian Regional League called the MPL- ID has been the most successful of the lot and is continuing to impress despite almost all of its fan base coming from SEA. 

The title is definitely one of the biggest names in the world of mobile esports and while it’s viewership and popularity is majorly regional, the numbers it has shown is mighty impressive. According to esports viewership tracking website, Esports Charts, MPL-ID Season 5 was one of most watched esport events in recent months. During a league match between RRQ and EVOS Legends, the peak viewership was 662,235The two teams are the most popular ones in the league and their rivalry helped the league achieve it's highest ever peak viewership till date.

With the online league phase now over, all eyes will be on the playoffs with 300,000 USD on the line. RRQ and Bigetron Esports were the top two teams in the league and will start their journey in the Upper Bracket semifinals. Meanwhile, EVOS Legends, Alter Ego, Onics Esports and Genflix Aerowolf will begin their journeys in the Upper Bracket quarter finals. The playoffs will last from the 10th to the 12th of April and the winners will be crowned the champions of MPL-Indonesia Season 5.
