  • PUBG Mobile releases artwork teasing future content releases
  • Erangel 2.0, Team based In-game items and Mounted weapons on vehicles

Recently PUBG Mobile released a couple of artworks to tease the upcoming content that they have planned. The two images show mashed up versions of the 4 maps in the game - Miramar, Erangel, Vikendi and Sanhok.

While this is all speculation, the image of Erangel could very well be indicative of Erangel 2.0, however since it is an artwork, we cannot be sure. However, one aspect, which there is little doubt over is the fact that the image contains a detail which shows players parachuting in with logos of professional organizations on the parachute.

Team based Skins Are Great for the Ecosystem

In-game skins which are based on teams have always been a critical part of integrating the casual and professional aspects of the game. Not only is it great for the organizations, who can make a cut from the skin, it’s also a great way for fans to show support by sporting a skin of their favorite team.

Some titles such as Call of Duty, Rainbow Six: Siege and Rocket League, who have integrated team based skins into their game have received praise for the same and the move has incentivized organizations to keep supporting the esport as well. With more and more organizations coming into PUBG Mobile, it’s cool to see the game trying to integrate and build a sustainable ecosystem for each stakeholder.

Other cool takeaways from the image include mounted weapons on cars. However, it’s hard to ascertain whether this is an artistic feature or an actual in game feature that will be implemented. The two images have certainly created quite the buzz and it will be interesting to see how the team delivers upon this.
