Both Hayward and Castagnoli are avid gamers and are known for their interest in videogames. Their connection to Tribe Gaming comes via collaborations with Tribe’s CEO, Chief Pat, aka Patrick Carney. The investment will be used to allow Tribe to only expand their portfolio in terms of content creators and teams, but also set up a headquarters + content creation studio in Austin, Texas.Tribe Gaming is primarily based out of North America and currently fields rosters in 5 major mobile esport titles - PUBG Mobile, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, Brawlstars and Call of Duty: Mobile.

The investment will mean a lot for organizations and teams in the mobile gaming space as it could open doors to more investors and new opportunities in the sector. Mobile gaming and mobile esports is certainly on the rise in recent months as consistent viewership, ease of access and massive player bases have not gone unnoticed.
