Call of Duty Mobile Championship To Be Announced Soon According to Leak

The first official Call of Duty: Mobile Esports circuit is going to be announced according to a leak on the test servers. The image first shared by Complexity’s Mobile Gaming Director, Matt Rutledge shows plans for a tournament called the CODM Championship and more details pertaining to the tournament.

While no official announcement has been made, it does seem like this will be one of the first initiatives by the publishers to turn their successful game into an esport. According to the leak, the tournament will start from April, and will have open qualifiers, allowing individual players to qualify. The format does seem pretty weird as Call of Duty is a team based game, and the tournament progression will also see Regional qualifiers, Regional Playoffs and the Call of Duty Mobile Championship finale.

More details on the tournament are expected to be announced soon.
