The official Esports Awards Twitter handle, posted a tweet just yesterday asking if the community would like a category in mobile esports. Earlier today, they seemed to be happy with the response and posted another tweet asking people to vote on which mobile esports category should be considered.

Mobile esports is slowly but surely on its way to becoming as big as traditional esport titles in recent years. With the type of numbers in playerbase and viewership that mobile esports had in 2019, it is difficult for mainstream esports to ignore it at this point and it’s unsurprising to see Esports Awards making a move to attract mobile audience.
