The Esports Awards 2020 will most likely feature mobile esports, thereby recognizing the immense potential and growth of mobile gaming and mobile esports. The official Esports Awards Twitter handle, posted a tweet just yesterday asking if the community would like a category in mobile esports. Earlier today, they seemed to be happy with the response and posted another tweet asking people to vote on which mobile esports category should be considered.

Mobile esports is slowly but surely on its way to becoming as big as traditional esport titles in recent years. With the type of numbers in playerbase and viewership that mobile esports had in 2019, it is difficult for mainstream esports to ignore it at this point and it’s unsurprising to see Esports Awards making a move to attract mobile audience.

Esports Awards is one of the most prestigious awards in the gaming industry and is generally looked forward to by the entire community every year. While award shows in most sectors have lost the place they held once upon a time, s they can be a great place to spark discussions and lead to positive change in the industry. While the dates, nominations and categories for this year's Esports Awards show has not yet been revealed, it is quite likely that mobile esports will be a part of the awards.
