Despite a top 5 finish at the recently concluded PMCO Fall Championship, India’s Entity Gaming suffered a poor result in the group stages of the PMSC World Cup 2019. A short format of only four games left little room for error and unfortunately ETG were unable to make it into the top 8 of their group. With 3 bottom three finishes in 4 games, ETG didn’t look like the same team who had done so well in Malaysia. Unfortunately, this does mean that they have been eliminated from the competition.

Nepal’s Elementrix meanwhile has been having a brilliant tournament and were the only team in Group B to win two WWCDs in just four games. They move onto the finals stage, having finished second in their group, behind Thailand’s RRQ Athena. Among the big names who were eliminated are Entity Gaming, TOP Esports, EVOS and All Rejection Gaming, Wistaria.

The 8 teams who will be moving on from Group B are:

RRQ Athena - Thailand

Elementrix - Nepal

Unique - Russia

Team Queso - Argentina

Cloud9 - USA

Red Canids - Brazil

GoSkilla - Kazakhstan

EGC Black - South Korea

Along with this the 8 teams from MENA who will be joining them are:

46 Loot

Sixty Nine Team

6N Team

ME Assassins

The Snipers

Yalla Esports

Arab Madness

Divine Vendetta

The teams will be playing for the lion’s share of a 300,000 USD prize pool. The teams will play a total of 5 maps in the finals later tonight. The PMSC World Cup Finals are taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
