All the participating teams are gearing up for the very first season of MPL for Singapore on April 3, 2021.
Here are reasons to watch and follow the upcoming MPL SG Season 1.

The MPL Singapore is all set for the grand kick-off on April 3, 2021. This will be the first time Singapore will have its own professional league separate from Malaysia. Six invited esports teams and two teams from the qualifiers will compete for the crown of MPL champions and the lion’s share of the $100,000 USD prize pool. The stakes are high, and the teams are willing to go the distance to prove they deserve the MPL SG Season 1 championship title. With that in mind, here are reasons to watch and follow the upcoming MPL Singapore Season 1.

How will the two new recruits of EVOS SG perform?

Ever since season 2, EVOS SG has always been known as one of Singapore’s best Mobile Legends teams. The team claimed the title of champion on the previous MPL MYSG Season 4. However, with the recent retirement of Ong “Aeon” Wei Sheng and Stefan “Soul” Chong Ru Chyi, EVOS SG went on to recruit new players for their roster. With the arrival of new recruits Swoop, Girl, and Dagger, will EVOS SG be able to deliver top-notch performance in the upcoming MPL SG Season 1?

Kingsmen Is More Than Just Underdogs

Kingsmen is one of the teams who rose up to the qualifiers. But they are more than just underdogs. They recruited former EVOS SG members like OhDeerBambi, Azura, and Lun, which contributed to EVOS SG’s victories in the past like at the MPL MYSG Season 2, and M1 World Championships. It will be interesting to see how well they can perform in the tournament with high-caliber esports pros in their roster.

Can Explorer Dominate the MPL SG Season 1?

Explorer is one of the teams that qualified for the group stage. Debuting this season, Explorer aims to prove themselves with the support of Singapore’s Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA). The team is composed of promising esports talents such as Dora, Ryeb, Jamie, Pebble, Monchichi, and Bento. It would be interesting to see how well Explorer can perform against the veterans of MPL Singapore.

Will RSG SG take the crown this time around?

In the previous MPL MYSG Season 6, RSG was one win short of grabbing the champion title as the Malaysian team, Todak, took them down in the grand finals resulting in them placing second in the tournament. RSG is back with their old members Fossa, Jason, Sana, LY4LY4LYA, and Sync intact with their new addition to the team Diablo. Will they be able to grab the crown this time around?
