- The codes will be available to all players who watch the VCT Masters 2 finals on May 30th, 2021.
- The codes can be claimed on June 3rd, 2021 - which coincides with Pride Month.
Valorant’s Pride Cards were recently discovered by Valorant data miner RumbleMike. A brand-new set of player cards are set to be available which will be called “Pride Player Cards” and they will be available only for a limited time according to the leaked information. The code redemption will be available on June 3rd which coincides with the Pride Month this year. The Valorant Pride Cards are meant to showcase Riot’s support for minorities and other genders. The studio also introduced the Valorant Champions Tour Game Changers for minorities and marginalized genders earlier this year to support them. Here quick is a look at everything we know about the Valorant Pride Cards so far.
Valorant Pride Cards Overview
The new pride cards are meant to offer support to the LGBQT+ community. They will not be available in the new battle pass or in-game. Players will be able to claim them via code redemption from the official Valorant website.
There will be seven cards for players to claim and each of the cards represents a flag from the LGBQT+ community. The cards signify gay, transgender, pansexual, non-binary, asexual, and lesbian communities from left to right. Riot is also organizing a VCT Game Changers academy program and esports events. The academy program features monthly tournaments and offer players opportunities to compete at the grassroots and semi-pro level. All Academy events are organized in partnership with “GALORANTs”, which is one of the largest communities within Valorant.
The GALORANT community has previously partnered with Riot Games to organize the “For The Women Summer Showdown” tournament in September 2020. Both the Game Changers Series and the Academy program will seek to create the next generation of players competing at the Valorant Champions Tour.
Here are all the cards that can be obtained in the event:
- Transgender people: Blue, pink, white
- Pansexual people: Pink, yellow, blue
- Non-Binary people: Yellow, purple, white, black
- Bisexual people: Pink, purple, blue
- Asexual people: Purple, white, grey, black
- Gay people: Red, orange, white, pink, purple
How to Claim The Valorant Pride Cards
Riot Games has asked fans to keep an eye out on the official website and social media accounts throughout June to find out how to get the cards. The redemption method is currently unknown but if we go by League of Legends' Fluft icons which are distributed each year, they are sold in the store for 1 Blue Essence. In Legends of Runeterra, pride icons were available for 0 coins in the in-game Store and Valorant might have a similar method to collect the player cards.
Valorant Pride Cards Release Date
There is no known release date for the Valorant Pride Cards but Riot Games has confirmed that the cards will drop throughout June 2021.
