Samurai Esports revealed its new Valorant roster which includes former XTZ Esports players Psy, Whimp, Harsh, Rex, and Blackhawk. The team’s previous organization disbanded the roster just three months after signing the players from Noble Esports. The players will be competing in upcoming Valorant events in India and beyond. Earlier this month, Simar 'Psy' Sethi told AFK Gaming that the players will go their own ways following their departure from XTZ but they decided against it and are now going to represent Samurai Esports. Four out of five players have been playing together since last year with Whimp being their newest member who joined on January 5 at XTZ.

The time to come will bring lots of excitement and entertainment for sure!".

The Roster Features The Former XTZ Esports Roster

This is the second time that most of the team changed organizations in the past year except Saaransh ‘Whimp’ Dang. Simar ‘psy’ Sethi and the rest of the Valorant roster competed in events under the XTZ banner after the players parted ways with Noble Esports. The Valorant team’s departure from Noble was attributed to a lack of practice and synergy. In October 2020, Psy revealed that Hikka was playing from Sri Lanka which caused issues due to high latency. XTZ Esports partnered with the roster and they found success for three months before disbanding again. The team will now be competing under the Samurai Esports banner.
