Two-time Dota 2 champions OG has officially made its way into Valorant and are competing in the ongoing Champions Tour. The Monkey Business roster which was invited at the Red Bull Home Ground was reported to be OG’s Valorant roster last month, and the organization also dropped us hints on social media about their entry into Valorant but did not make it official until today. The team has been competing at the European qualifiers for the Valorant Champions Tour under the name ‘Monkey Business’, which was OG’s previous official name. OG’s Valorant Roster will be joining the ranks of Alliance, Fnatic and Evil Geniuses who also announced Valorant rosters in 2021.
N0Tail and Ceb On OG’s Entry to Valorant
Sébastien “Ceb” Debs and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein are the co-owners of OG, and they shared their thoughts on Valorant esports on OG's official website. They said “We’ve heard a lot about the game, and were seduced by the idea behind it as well as how serious the ecosystem is already. When the opportunity to get involved with a roster that you like and you believe in arises, you sometimes just have to grab it. It was the same with CS:GO, sometimes the stars align and you have an opportunity to do something really interesting.” OG’s Valorant roster will be competing in the already hypercompetitive European Valorant scene which features likes of Fnatic (formerly SUMN FC), Team Heretics and G2 Esports.

Florida Mayhem DPS player Kevin "Tviq" Lindström competed in Overwatch League 2018 before making his way into Valorant last year. The ex-Overwatch pros will be joined by ex-CS:GO professional Theo “Oniby” Tarlier. Julian "daemoN" Ducros, who coached the Los Angeles Valiant and Dallas Fuel, will be taking up coaching responsibilities for OG’s Valorant roster.
The former Monkey Business roster will be playing under the official OG banner in the next Challenger stage on February 21st. Eight of Europe’s best teams will be competing to qualify for the Masters event of the ongoing Valorant Champions Tour. 2021 is looking to be a promising year for Valorant with some of the biggest names in Dota 2 and CS:GO esports making their way into Valorant for the Champions Tour.
