Team Vitality is in the running for the Valorant Champions Tour after the signing of the “FrenzyGoKill” roster. The Lithuania-based team is currently ranked #12 in Europe on The Spike leaderboards. The roster made its entry into Valorant at the Red Bull Home Grounds and reached the quarterfinals.   The team lost to G2 Esports but put on a great performance and have a 75% winrate till date. The players have prior experience playing competitively for eXile eSports, nolpenki, Opportunists and Purple Cobras. Coach Andrey “FrAgOn” Katz moved to Team Vitality from FunPlus Phoenix. Bramz and FrAgOn have experience in other FPS games while the rest of the roster started their esports careers in Valorant. Bramz was part of Hyper4mance, a Tier 3 CS:GO team while FrAgOn coached Team Israel at the 2019 Overwatch World Cup and Triumph, an Overwatch Contenders Team.

Team Vitality Fabien “Neo” Devide’s Thoughts on Valorant

Team Vitality announced that this was the end of its talent search which started in July 2020 during the Vitality European Open. The new roster will play its first series at the Valorant Champions Tour European qualifiers. Team Vitality’s President & Co-Founder Fabien “Neo” Devide said “Entering Valorant has been a top priority for us at Team Vitality since the esports scene started to develop. Having already showcased we have the ability to cement a legacy in an FPS title, we are really excited to get started. The potential of this roster is sky high and we look forward to going head-to-head with the best and proving why Team Vitality is a hive for growth and success.”

Other Major Esports Organizations Entering Valorant

Alliance, Fnatic and Evil Geniuses have confirmed their entries into the Valorant Champions Tour for 2021. Unlike most other organizations who picked up existing rosters, Alliance is fielding a mixed-gender roster that it assembled. Two-time Dota 2 International winners OG are also reported to be working with the ‘Monkey Business’ roster for the European qualifiers of the Valorant Champions Tour. The European qualifiers begin tonight and fans will get to see how the new teams fare against the likes of veterans G2 Esports, Team Liquid and Team Heretics. Winners from each of the qualifiers will head on to the Masters event in a bid to become the Valorant Champions this year.
