SEA Fire Championship 2020 Day 3: X10 and Bren Esports Go Through

Bren Esports and X10 Esports are headed to the quarterfinals of the SEA Fire Championship 2020.
Both teams won their matches on Day 3 of the tournament and knocked out Global Esports and DXG.
The quarterfinals of the tournament begin on January 7th and the grand finals are scheduled on January 14th.

All matches for Group A of the SEA Fire Championship 2020 are over, and X10 Esports and Bren Esports will be competing in the next stage. Global Esports have been knocked out of the tournament after a 1-2 defeat against X10 and DivisionX Gaming have failed to secure a single win in the group stage. Group A teams will now face off against other teams in the competition in January after matches of Groups B, C and D conclude this month.

X10 Esports vs Global Esports 

X10 Esports put on a dominant performance against Global Esports on Haven with a dominant 13-3 victory. Killjoy played a crucial role for X10 as they took on Global Esports’ aggressive game plan. Global Esports attempted to make a comeback on Bind, but the match went 13-10 in X10’s favour. X10 Esports won against all 3 teams in Group A and will be going to the next stage with a solid 9 points. 

DXG Gaming vs Bren Esports 

DivisionX Gaming’s chances of qualifying were low as they headed into their matches against First Strike winners Bren Esports. After a closely fought round in Ascent, they succumbed to Bren’s attack and lost 11-13. The team of BORKUM, DubsteP, Dispenser, ChinG, JessieVash, and Gibo beat DXG in Haven 13-3 to seal their spot in the next stage. 

The upper bracket quarterfinals will begin on January 7th. Matches for Groups B, C and D, are yet to commence. Group B’s matches commence today with Meloner, NongWaen, Team nxl and Team SMG competing against each other over the next three days for a spot at the quarterfinals. The lower bracket quarterfinals begin on January 9th and we will have two teams heading into the finals on January 14th. 

SEA Fire Championship 2020 Overview

The SEA Fire Championship 2020 is a tournament hosted by eFire League in partnership with Zack Solutions as the main sponsor. The Group Stage is ongoing and will last until December 28th, after which we will see two teams from each group of four qualify. All matches in the group stage are BO3, and the qualifying teams will head to the playoffs which take place between January 7th and 14th next year. The SEA Fire Championship 2020 Grand Finals will be a BO5 match with a one-map advantage being given to the upper bracket team.
