Akosi Dogie was named the SEA Content Creator of The Year at the SuperGamerFest Awards. The event recognizes and celebrates esports professionals and content creators from Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Dogie was presented not only the SEA Content Creator of The Year award but also Streamer of The Year at the event. 

Who is Akosi Dogie?

The SuperGamerFest event had multiple awards for categories from VOD creation, streaming, and social media. The SEA Content Creator of The Year winner was selected from the winners of the other categories, which led to Akosi Dogie taking home the biggest award at the event. He is known for his comic personality and fun-loving nature. The popular content creator boasts of over 10 million followers across his social media accounts. 

Dogie streams on YouTube and has garnered over 5 million subscribers since he started. He exploded in the streaming community following his success in the Mobile Legends community. On Twitch, he has over 17,000 followers and over 5 million followers on Facebook. He currently streams on Facebook and produces YouTube content on his channel “AKOSI DOGIE.”

In the esports categories, two teams shared the award of Esports Team of the Year. Buriram United Esports from Thailand and RRQ from Indonesia received the award for their outstanding performance in local and SEA tournaments throughout the year. The match between Alter Ego and RRQ took home the Esports Performance of The Year award. 

Daryl “iceiceice” Koh from Singapore and M. Ikhsan "Lemon" from Indonesia shared the Esports Pro Player of The Year Award. Best Esports Coach of The Year was presented to Muhammad “JangS” Farhan. The Game of The Year award was presented to Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, an online battle arena style game. 

Other awardees include ZBingZ, a Thai content creator who snagged the VOD Creator of The Year award. Social Media Star of The Year Award was presented to Filipino content creator Ella Cruz. Breakout Creator of The Year was presented to Thai content creator Heartrocker.

Akosi Dogie took home the night's biggest award after being selected from over 100,000 nominations in the past month. Fans from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore were allowed to nominate their favorite content creators and esports athletes. Winners were then selected by a panel that included prominent media personalities and esports professionals. All awards were presented following a quantitative judging process.
