James Banks Joins Alliance as New Valorant General Manager

James Banks is now a part of Alliance's Valorant wing and will be taking up the role of general manager.
Banks will be responsible for scouting a professional Valorant team for 2021 from EMEA.
The organization will also let its fans scout players for Starcraft 2, Rocket League and Chess.

James Banks will be joining Alliance’s Valorant division as their new General Manager. The organization seeks to expand into three new competitive divisions, taking the organization up to 7 in 2021. A brand-new player facility was set up this year to accommodate the players and help them practice.

James Banks’ Role in Alliance’s Valorant Division

The new General Manager will be responsible for scouting a new Valorant roster for the EMEA region, while Teo Jie Bin will be finding a new competitive mobile gaming roster. The community will get to be scouts for the third roster where fans can vote for players by purchasing socios.com fan tokens and voting for players.

Fans can choose players from Rocket League, Starcraft II, and Chess for competitive mobile esports for 2021 and beyond. The Swedish org will also let the community take hands-on decisions in recruitment and management. Though details on the nature of these decisions have not yet been revealed.

Valorant GM’s Thoughts on Joining the team

Banks revealed that this is “a new challenge and a new chapter for me. I have been enjoying every aspect of VALORANT since beta. When I was first talking to the guys at Alliance, they were very serious in how they wanted to approach the VALORANT scene and what they could offer a team.”

The GM wants to work with the “fantastic” support team at the Swedish org and wants to hunt for the right team and the right players who are hungry to perform. He is impressed by the facilities available at the organization and wants players under him to become future champions at Valorant.

Alliance is an esports organization that features competitive players in games like Hearthstone, TrackMania, Fortnite, Dota 2, League of Legends, Starcraft 2, and more. The team is player-owned and has a record of winning The International 2013, which was the biggest esports event in terms of prize pool at that time.
