VALORANT Mumbai Servers to go Live Starting Tomorrow

VALORANT developers have finally announced that Mumbai servers will be going live on 14^th October alongside Bahrain servers which will be serving the MENA (the Middle East and North Africa) region. The new servers go live along with ACT III which is also releasing tomorrow and is packed with a lot of content like a whole new Battlepass, a new snow-covered map called 'Icebox', changes to the competitive matchmaking, a new weapon skin called 'Singularity', and even a new agent called ‘Skye’ which will be released a few weeks later on 27^th October.

VALORANT Officially Announces Mumbai Servers

After a massive hint was dropped earlier today by a Riot developer who goes by the name of ‘ZealousApathy’ on Reddit that India servers will be going live at the same time as the ones in Bahrain, an official announcement has now been made confirming this news while also stating that the servers will be based in Mumbai.

Additionally, it has also been pointed out by VALORANT that except for Pakistan all other countries within the South Asia region will automatically connect to the new Mumbai servers, whereas Pakistan will be getting connected to the servers in Bahrain.

The automatic server preference has been done to keep the ping of every region down and give them the best network connectivity. The Mumbai server which goes live tomorrow will be a part of the Southeast Asia shard, which basically means that all the updates coming to this server will be in synchronization to the ones operating in the SEA region.

This will be a huge relief for the players residing in South Asia who had been promised about an upcoming server ever since VALORANT was released in June earlier this year. The developers have stood strong on their word, delivering what they had promised well before the end of the year.

The ping will also go down drastically as players had to either connect to the servers in Southeast Asia or the ones in Europe West to play the game so far, resulting in higher average ping.
