It looks like Team Secret might be entering the Filipino Esports scene shortly. The European esports organization, who is known for its popular Dota 2 roster recently made a Tweet which indicated that something big (likely their entry into the Philippines) is in the works for Filipino esports.

Team Secret’s Posts A Teaser For “PILIPINAS”

Earlier on Thursday, Team Secret’s social media pages posted a quick teaser that contained a 16-second video of Team Secret’s logo shrouded in the colors of the Philippines flag.

The text later even changes into “PILIPINAS”.

The caption reads: "Pilipinas... Handa na ba kayo sa parating na sikreto?" which literally translates to "Philippines ... Are you ready for the upcoming secret?"

We do not know whether this is a teaser for a Dota 2 team. This might even be a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) team, or a roster for some other game. It might even announce a streaming partnership. However, one thing is certain. This likely indicates Team Secret’s entry into the Philippines region.

League of Legends:

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO):

Team Secret also has a European CS:GO roster which competes in Tier 2 tournaments.

There is a glaring omission in this list of games: Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB). The mobile MOBA has been getting an immense amount of viewership recently with over 350k viewers tuning in to watch the BNK VS NXP.SOLID match in the MPL - Philippines Season 6.

MPL - Indonesia Season 6 had a higher peak viewership of 884,898 making it the second most viewed esports event in August 2020.

So perhaps Team Secret is considering a Mobile Legends roster? We really don’t know. We’ll have to wait for Team Secret’s official announcement on the matter to get the whole picture. Until then we can only speculate. What do you think is in the works? Let us know in the comments.
