Just a few hours ago the organization has teased the announcement of their VALORANT lineup which is scheduled to be released five days later on 7th August.

Earlier, heavy speculation and rumours had stated that Team Liquid might be signing Counter-Strike pro Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom along with the four man roster of successful British VALORANT team 'fish123'. Will the Team Liquid VALORANT roster actually comprise of them?

Team Liquid Teases VALORANT Entry

One of the most popular esports organization Team Liquid is finally announcing its VALORANT lineup just a day after the commencement of FaZe Clan Invitational which will be one of the biggest VALORANT tournaments of the region. As per earlier speculations and rumours the upcoming Team Liquid VALORANT roster might be as follows,

  • Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom
  • Adam "ec1s" Eccles
  • Dom "soulcas" Sulcas
  • James "Kryptix" Affleck
  • Travis "L1NK" Mendoza

The rumour was first reported by 1pv.fr in mid-July turning a few heads and generating some hype but with everyone involved staying tight-lipped on the matter at the time, it all quickly died down. With Team Liquid teasing the announcement of their roster within a week’s time, the speculations have once against gained momentum.

ScreaM: CS:GO Out, VALORANT In?

According to rumours, ScreaM is all set to retire from Counter-Strike once he is picked by Team Liquid for their upcoming VALORANT roster. The 26-year-old star has not been in the limelight for quite some time, sitting on GamerLegion’s bench since September 2019.

The Belgian-Moroccan player had started playing Counter-Strike in 2010 and might be retiring after having dedicated more than 10 years to the game. During his time ScreaM has played for big esports organizations like VeryGames, Titan, Epsilon eSports, G2 Esports, Team Envy, and Fnatic (Stand-in).

Unfortunately, the last tier-one tournament that he was a part of was ESL One: New York 2018 where he stood-in for Fnatic. Since then the player has been absent from top-tier action trying his best to make an unsuccessful comeback.

Fish123: Top British VALORANT Team

Fish123 is one of the strongest VALORANT teams in Europe. The team was established in April and the British roster since its inception has been killing it, winning almost every tournament that they participated in. They were the runners up at the $50,000 WePlay! VALORANT Invitational which is one of the biggest European VALORANT events yet.

In this tournament, they were playing with ScreaM as their stand-in as one of their former players Ardis "ardiis" Svarenieks had joined G2 Esports a month prior to the event. Their performance at the tournament might be the reason behind Liquid showing such keen interest in signing them.
