In an effort to fight the coronavirus pandemic Team Liquid has announced a week-long stream marathon called ‘The Quarathon’. This marathon stream is being organized to raise money for Direct Relief which is a humanitarian aid organization.
The marathon stream which started yesterday will witness Team Liquid players running back-to-back streams along with their friends, coming to an end on 29th March.
Jake "Stewie2K" Yip was seen streaming some CS:GO yesterday, as he tweeted informing everyone that “All donations will be sent to Direct Relief to support the fight against COVID-19.” While also mentioning that he would be streaming again today alongside Tarik “tarik” Celik from Evil Geniuses. Team Liquid has themselves requested viewers to “Drop by, donate, have fun, and win prizes.” More information on this is available on the stream itself, which is live at the moment.
This is a great initiative taken by Team Liquid to contribute as much as they can in this fight against the global pandemic that has struck several countries worldwide. With several cities going on lockdown and people being requested to stay indoors, this stream is surely going to pull in quite a lot of viewers, as they cater to audiences from various different gaming titles.
